    Default Working on G2Bridge 2.1 alpha

    Hello michiel,

    I've downloaded the trunk today and tried to install it. It has produced a lot of errors and so I tried to fixed a few to get the Backend component working with the J!1.5 Famework.
    I've attached the working backend-component.

    Maybe you can take a look on it.

    Default Packed g2bridge

    Hello,

    Ok, I've packed both(component and plugin) into installable zips.

    Changes:
    * Fixed errors depending J!-Framework
    * I've added a view to the admin panel to manage the settings.
    So I'm able to use the G2EmbedDiscoveryUtilities before saving
    in the database.
    * Building a basic Frontend

    Would be nice to hear some feedback.

    --edit
    I don't know if the files are correct (case sensitive) I work under windows where i don't recognise this problems
    with case sensitive filenames. In a few day's i'll get a testPc from a friend where i will install several different Cases
    to test all. (OS,Caches, PHP-Versions,...)

    --edit
    I've deleted the Files.
    I've added the Newest Files to my first Post

    Best regards
    Chris

    If you have enough space and powerful or decent computer you could install Virtual PC 2007 and test under that, that's what I do.

    And yes, it would be nice to hear some feedback or when we could start beta testing.

    Default Progress? Any help needed?

    Hi, I'm wondering if any headway has been made with this update. I just installed J1.5 B2 to play around with it for the first time, and G2.2.2. I'd be happy to put your updates to the test if you're looking for something in particular or even general feedback. I don't really have the skills to fix anything in the code, but I'd give it a go.

    Hello,

    I've updated the files up in the topic.
    Finished:
    > User Authentification works (Plugin)
    > User Syncronisation works (Plugin)
    > Front-End Component works
    > Backend Settings works
    > Backend manual User mapping works

    ToDo:
    > Managing Groups from Backend
    > Overwork wrapped Classes
    > Wizard for Install
    > Error Handling

    Best Regards

    Default Not functioning

    Just wanted to post an update:

    With a brand new J1.5B2 installation (and no other installed components), the first thing I did was upload the component and then the plugin. They installed successfully. Then I went to the Components -> Gallery2 Bridge -> Settings and got this:

    Code:
     An error has occurred

    View not found [name, type, prefix]: gbridge,html,g2bridgeView
    Back in the Gallery2 Bridge Menu, picking "Users" or "About" gives me this:

    Code:
    Fatal error: Undefined class name 'jsubmenuhelper' in /home/inthe3/public_html/beta/administrator/components/com_g2bridge/admin.g2bridge.php on line 17

    Warning: mysql_real_escape_string(): 49 is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/inthe3/public_html/beta/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 169

    Warning: mysql_real_escape_string(): 49 is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/inthe3/public_html/beta/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 169
    My G2 info, if it matters:
    Code:
    Gallery version = 2.3-svn core 1.2.19
    API = Core 7.33, Module 3.7, Theme 2.6, Embed 1.2
    PHP version = 4.4.4 cgi
    Webserver = Apache Webserver
    Database = mysqlt 4.1.21-standard, lock.system=flock
    Toolkits = ArchiveUpload, Exif, LinkItemToolkit, Gd
    Acceleration = none, none
    Operating system = Linux jeter.lunarpages.com 2.4.21-50.ELsmp #1 SMP Mon Jun 11 18:13:29 EDT 2007 i686
    Default theme = matrix
    gettext = enabled
    Locale = en_US
    Browser = Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4
    Rows in GalleryAccessMap table = 9
    Rows in GalleryAccessSubscriberMap table = 1
    Rows in GalleryUser table = 2
    Rows in GalleryItem table = 1
    Rows in GalleryAlbumItem table = 1
    Rows in GalleryCacheMap table = 0
    In Joomla's Plugin Manager, Gallery 2 User Events is published

    Not sure where that leaves me, or what I might do to fix it, but I'm eager to give it a shot. Thanks!

    matt

    PS: WHen I logged out of Joomla, I got this:

    Code:
    Fatal error: Undefined class name 'galleryembed' in /home/inthe3/public_html/beta/administrator/components/com_g2bridge/helpers/g2bridgewrapper.class on line 160

    Hello,

    An error has occurred
    View not found [name, type, prefix]: gbridge,html,g2bridgeView
    Ok I've tried to install the component's from this topic but they worked with both systems, under linux (apache2, php5, mysql5) as well es windows (xampp).

    Fatal error: Undefined class name 'JSubMenuHelper' in /home/inthe3/public_html/beta/administrator/components/com_g2bridge/admin.g2bridge.php on line 17
    JSubMenuHelper is the Helper Class to define the Menu up there. It works with the current nightly build.
    The Banner Component uses it too.

    Fatal error: Undefined class name 'galleryembed' in /home/inthe3/public_html/beta/administrator/components/com_g2bridge/helpers/g2bridgewrapper.class on line 160
    Ok, I'll fix this.

    I'll also test the packed zip's from here. If i know more, I'll post it.

    Please me a few things about your joomla system (nigtly build/svn build) as well as your system settings(apache, php...) in the first place:
    are you using php4 or php5? I've only testet with php5 at the moment.

    --edit
    I've now also tested it with
    system: Linux debian 2.6.18-4-686
    PHP Version: 5.2.0-8+etch4 (CGI/FastCGI)
    PHP Version: 4.4.4-8+etch3 (Apache 2.0 Handler)
    and it worked fine, simular to the windows server.

    Best Regards
    chris
