Meta-Tag appears in Source Code but does not work

Hallo,

I have installed the googleverify plugin for joomla 1.5 and filled in the meta-tag given by google.
But when I click verify it does not work.
It is aktivated and the metatag is shown in the sourcecode of my start page.

At first I verified my site with the html method, but when I started using the sh404sef component it didnt work any longer.

Do you have any ideas what I could do?

Edit: It was the fault of the JoomFish Component.
